Decisions
- Built entirely with vanilla JavaScript to create a fast, dependency-free application, focusing on core web technologies.
- Directly integrated the OpenWeatherMap API for live weather data, demonstrating fundamental API consumption skills.
- Designed a minimalist, clean user interface to ensure the clear and immediate presentation of weather information.
Build log
- Set up the basic HTML structure for the search input and weather display card.
- Wrote the core JavaScript `fetch` logic to retrieve data from the OpenWeatherMap API.
- Implemented functions to parse the JSON response and dynamically update the DOM with weather details.
- Added error handling to manage invalid city inputs and API request failures gracefully.
- Styled the application with clean, simple CSS for a straightforward user experience.
