Skill Swap Platform

A full-stack, real-time skill-swapping marketplace built on the MERN stack. The platform enables users to offer skills they possess and find others to learn from in a direct, peer-to-peer exchange. It includes real-time notifications for swap requests via Socket.IO, a user reputation system with reviews, and a dedicated admin dashboard for platform management.

• Chose the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) for a cohesive, full-stack JavaScript development experience.
• Integrated Socket.IO to provide real-time notifications for swap requests, creating a dynamic and responsive user experience.
• Designed a clear, role-based architecture (User, Admin) with JWT authentication to secure the platform and tailor functionality.
• Developed a detailed RESTful API with clear documentation to ensure a clean separation between the frontend and backend.
• Implemented a user feedback and rating system to build trust and maintain quality within the community.

1. Defined the core project plan and assigned team roles for frontend, backend, and database management.
