- HTML
- CSS
What it is
This project is a fundamental frontend exercise focused on creating a responsive navigation bar using only HTML and CSS. It showcases the use of media queries to adapt the layout for different screen sizes, transitioning from a horizontal bar on desktops to a hamburger menu on mobile devices.
Decisions
- Built with pure HTML and CSS to demonstrate foundational web development skills without relying on frameworks or libraries.
- Used CSS Flexbox for layout to create a flexible and easily maintainable structure.
- Implemented CSS media queries to ensure the navigation bar is fully responsive and provides a good user experience on both desktop and mobile screens.
Build log
- Created the basic HTML structure for the navigation links and logo.
- Styled the desktop version of the navigation bar using CSS Flexbox.
- Added a hamburger menu icon for mobile view, initially hidden on larger screens.
- Wrote CSS media queries to handle the layout switch at a specific breakpoint.
- Ensured smooth transitions and a clean user interface across devices.
