P2P Rental Marketplace

A comprehensive peer-to-peer rental marketplace built with the MERN stack and containerized with Docker. The platform supports three user roles (user, host, admin), features secure payment processing via Stripe, and includes a complete booking and reservation system. It is designed for scalability and real-world deployment.

• Architected a full-stack solution using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) for a robust and scalable application.
• Integrated the Stripe API to handle the entire payment lifecycle, including checkouts, order management, and host payouts.
• Containerized the backend service with Docker, ensuring consistent, isolated environments for development and deployment.
• Implemented a secure, role-based access control (RBAC) system using JWT to manage permissions for users, hosts, and administrators.
• Developed a comprehensive REST API with detailed documentation and a Postman collection for streamlined testing and integration.

1. Containerized the Node.js backend using Docker and orchestrated services with Docker Compose.
