Festify

A comprehensive event management platform built on the MERN stack with Socket.IO for real-time features. It includes role-based access for organizers and attendees, team and task management, financial tracking, and live announcements, designed to streamline the entire lifecycle of a college festival.

• Architected a full-stack solution using the MERN stack for a unified and efficient development workflow.
• Integrated Socket.IO to deliver real-time features such as live announcements, which are critical for event management.
• Implemented a robust role-based access control (RBAC) system using JWT to provide tailored dashboards and secure functionality for admins, organizers, and attendees.
• Designed a comprehensive MongoDB schema to manage all facets of an event, including schedules, finances, teams, and user feedback.
• Established a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions to automate testing and ensure consistent, reliable deployments.

1. Completed initial planning, defining the database schema, user roles, and core feature set.
2. Developed the Node.js and Express backend, creating a full REST API with JWT-based authentication.
